About
An objective alternative to the claims process
Index insurance pays out against measured, independent data, instead of an assessor's visit — that is the shift we design, price and operate around. But data-triggered cover on its own is not the whole answer. We work from a wider definition of resilience: financial protection standing alongside early warning, risk reduction and financial literacy, together, not a policy sold on its own.

How we work
One practice, four connected disciplines
Design, market systems, training and partnerships are not four separate offerings competing for the same budget line. Each one is what makes the next step possible.
- 01
Design and price the product
Earth-observation data, participatory Unit Area of Insurance delineation and actuarial pricing come together as a real, calculable index product — not a generic template applied to a new region.
What this involves - 02
Build the market around it
A product only works once registration, premium collection, seasonal monitoring and payout disbursement exist around it, so the same practice builds the distribution and demand-generation systems, too.
What this involves - 03
Train the people who run it
Bespoke, certified training for the institutions and teams operating the product day to day, so the system keeps working once the design phase is over.
What this involves - 04
Convene the partners who make it work
None of the above happens in isolation. Agribusinesses, cooperatives, government agencies and insurers are convened around the same information base, so risk reduction is collective, not siloed.

Where we work from
Based in Karen, Nairobi, Kenya
Our team works from Karen, Nairobi, Kenya, moving between that office and the field — the rangelands, cooperatives and agrodealer networks where the Unit Areas of Insurance we design actually get delineated, priced and put to work.
